Enjoying those quick, all-you-can-browse speeds on your LG Connect 4G? Well, it looks like soon you'll have to shell out a bit more cash to hold onto that beloved unlimited service. Earlier today, MetroPCS laid out the scheme to hike the pricing on its no-limits LTE offering, adding an extra $10 to the monthly fee. As for the others, the new $60 plan will now see a "soft" cap at 5GB of LTE data, while the lesser $50 and $40 deals are set at 2.5GB and 250MB, respectively. MetroPCS says you shouldn't worry, though, and that things "like Facebook, web surfing, etc., should continue to be solid." Good thing "solid" is unambiguous, right?

The census is a great way to research your family tree, but there are plenty of other free genealogy resources

The internet age has made a wealth of information available to anyone with a working connection, and being able to move backward in time through detailed records offers the chance to see our family trees in a whole knew way. The United States National Archives has just released an excellent tool for researching just this type of information: a website that houses scans of?the entire 1940 U.S. census.

If you're looking for details?about your ancestors, the 1940 census contains a wealth of information you may find useful. The site is filled with high-resolution scans of the handwritten census data, but unfortunately the records aren't searchable by name. You can, however, search by county, city, and even street name, which should help you find what you're looking for.

Once you locate a person of interest, each entry is filled with standard census data that can help paint a picture of life in 40s. Individuals are detailed with information including:

Age
Marital Status - Typically given as either "S" for single or "M" for married.
School history - Showing the highest grade completed at the time the census was taken.
Living situation - Lists of each home and each person's relation to the head of household.
Employment status - Whether the person has a job, and what that job is.
Place of birth - Either the state in which the person was born or the country, if not the United States.
Yearly Income

This is invaluable information for anyone trying to fill in some gaps of their family tree. If you happen to know the general area ? the most specific the better ? where your ancestors made their home here in the U.S., it shouldn't take you long to paint a picture of your past.

Genealogy for free!
The government census website isn't the only tool at your disposal when researching your lineage, and some are better than others. Some sites charge for their memberships but will attempt to lure you by allowing you to create a free account, then encourage you to purchase a subscription by preventing free access to all the information and photos you are searching for.

However, there are plenty of free options that have much of the same data ? and even more, in some cases ? that you can browse for absolutely free.

USGenWeb - A nonprofit project that lets family historians submit any information they might have, which is then curated for easy browsing. The data is broken down by state, and each has its own web page full of data about its residents and their ancestors. County records, maps, census reports, and other statistics are available, and even activity ideas to help kids and their parents connect to the past.

FamilySearch - This site allows users to browse based on name or life events such as births, marriages, and changes of residence. Using the basic search feature should yield plenty of results, and narrowing down each name to find the person you're looking for is as simple as tweaking the search criteria and checking each entry for things like age, hometown, and relatives. The site will sometimes prompt you to search for photos or other visual aides on Ancestry.com ? which typically charges for this type of information ? but there is plenty of information to be found for no cost.

Cyndi's List - The nice thing about the internet is that when it comes to finding information on your family tree, you can be certain that someone else has probably already had the same idea. Cyndi's list is a massive database of genealogy sites both large and small, many of which are dedicated to specific family names. The site currently boasts over 300,000 links, and finding information about your family tree could be as simple as typing your last name into the search bar. Give it a shot, after all, it's free!

It's April 1. It's Sunday (and we don't normally update on Sunday). Sony and Microsoft teaming up on a console is probably the most absurd thing we could think of. Well, I would've added- "And FFVII Remake Is A Launch Title" but it wouldn't fit in the headline.

So it's not about trying to convince you that this is real news. Rather, it's a chance for the community to discuss what the gaming landscape might be like without the petty console wars. Personally, I wouldn't mind having one universal console, just because I've never really cared about the name on a machine; I've always just wanted to play the games I want to play, which are typically the best ones available. And when multiple consoles have games I want, I have to own them...and that not only gets cumbersome and awkward, it gets expensive as generations roll on.

On the other hand, they say that competition begets quality and I'm willing to bet that console manufacturers don't mind having competing systems out there. It may drive first-party developers to do something extra special. At the same time, I think all game designers are gamers themselves, and they all want to create the best experience they can, so maybe the hardware competition is unnecessary. It just might be easier the whole way around; it may solidify the industry as well, because having multiple consoles isn't exactly accessible. I know to outsiders it might be confusing whereas with one unit, it's just- "Here, buy this and you can play any game made."

I really wouldn't mind. Having to buy a couple new pieces of hardware each generation (and finding room for the ones I already have) is getting ridiculous. However, I'm willing to bet that not all gamers agree...

The 2012 Women's NCAA Tournament is left with the best possible matchups for the Final Four as all four number one seed will be in Denver on Sunday night for the semifinal round of games.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish will face Big East rival Connecticut in the first game which is slated to tip off at 6:30 p.m ET. The two teams are quite familiar with each other having already played three times leading up to the NCAA Tournament. The Irish won both regular season meetings with UConn but the Huskies won the last meeting between the teams in the Big East tournament championship game.

In the other semifinal game, set to tip around 8:30 p.m. ET after the first game, the Baylor Bears will take on the Stanford Cardinal. Baylor advanced to the Final Four by knocking of Tennessee's Lady Vols, while Stanford easily defeated Duke.

Both games will be televised nationally on CBS.

LONDON (AP) - Manchester City missed the chance to put pressure on Premier League leader Manchester United on Saturday when it stumbled to a 3-3 draw against Sunderland that ended its record winning streak.

With United not in action until Monday, City could have drawn even on points with the defending champions with a Premier League-record 21st straight home win.

Instead, City needed two goals in the last six minutes to salvage a draw.

Sebastian Larsson scored twice and Nicklas Bendtner added a goal to give Sunderland a 3-1 lead before Mario Balotelli scored his second of the game for City and Aleksandar Kolarov tied it in the 86th minute.

Third-place Arsenal lost 2-1 at Queens Park Rangers and Chelsea scored twice in the last six minutes to win 4-2 at Aston Villa. Fernando Torres scored his first Premier League goal in six months as Chelsea kept up its challenge for a top-four finish.

City's second straight draw means United could take a five-point lead with seven games remaining if it beats Blackburn on Monday. City also had to rally for last weekend's 1-1 draw at Stoke.

City has 71 points to United's 73. Arsenal has 58 after former Tottenham midfielder Adel Taarabt, with his first Premier League goal, and Samba Diakite scored for QPR. Theo Walcott got Arsenal's reply.

With captain Stiliyan Petrov watching from the stands following his diagnosis with leukemia, Villa fought back from a two-goal deficit to tie it 2-2 before Branislav Ivanovic and Torres clinched a win that moved Chelsea two points behind fourth-place Tottenham.

Daniel Sturridge and Ivanovic put Chelsea ahead before James Collins and Eric Lichaj tied it for Villa.

Sidelined since August until a week ago because of hip surgery, American defender Lichaj scored his first Premier League goal in the 80th. It was the second goal at Aston Villa for Lichaj, who also scored in the League Cup last Aug. 23. He had not started a Premier League match since Dec. 28, 2010.

It was Chelsea's sixth win in eight games under interim coach Roberto Di Matteo. Spurs can restore its lead over its London rival to five points if it beats Swansea on Sunday.

Everton is seventh after a 2-0 win over West Bromwich Albion and Clint Dempsey scored his 13th Premier League goal of the season to help Fulham beat Norwich 2-1.

Dempsey's tally is the most for an American in one season and one more than he had in 2010-11. Dempsey has 19 goals in all competitions.

Also, Wigan boosted its chances of avoiding relegation with a 2-0 win over Stoke, and last-place Wolverhampton Wanderers looks sure to be demoted after a 3-2 home defeat against Bolton.

MADRID (AP) - Cristiano Ronaldo scored in the 37th and 70th minutes after setting up Karim Benzema's spectacular opener in the seventh as Spanish league leader Real Madrid routed Osasuna 5-1.

Lionel Messi responded with his 56th goal of the season to keep Barcelona within six points with a 2-0 win over Athletic Bilbao.

Ronaldo, whose long cross was volleyed in by Benzema, raised his league goals total to 37, one ahead of Messi, and 47 overall. Gonzalo Higuain also scored twice for Madrid.

The crowd at Barcelona's Camp Nou paid tribute to Messi before the game by unveiling an enormous banner for his becoming the club's career scoring leader, and Messi followed Andres Iniesta's 40th-minute goal with by converting a penalty kick in the 58th.

Messi has 56 goals in all competitions, the most for a player in a major European league since Gerd Mueller scored 67 for Bayern Munich in 1972-73.

MILAN (AP) - Serie A leader AC Milan was held to a 1-1 tie at Catania, giving second-place Juventus a boost.

Robinho put Milan ahead in the 34th minute, but Nicolas Spolli tied it in the 57th. A second-half shot by Robinho appeared to have crossed the goal line before it was cleared, but no goal was given.

Juventus, which trails by five points, hosts Napoli on Sunday.

Sergio Floccari, on loan from third-place Lazio, scored twice against his parent club to help Parma to a 3-1 victory.

GLASGOW, Scotland (AP) - Celtic will have to wait at least one more week to clinch the Scottish Premier League title after Lee McCulloch scored in the 89th minute to give second-place Rangers a 2-1 win at Motherwell.

Henrik Ojamaa put Motherwell ahead in the sixth minute but Steven Whittaker tied it three minutes later and McCulloch scored from about six yards out following a long throw from Lee Wallace.

Rangers denied Celtic the title last week when it beat its local rival 3-2 and now has 60 points with six games remaining, six more than third-place Motherwell.

Celtic plays St. Johnstone on Sunday.
