Motorola India has finally announced that it will be launching Xoom in India later this month. Company is expected to launch the WiFi only version in the country, as 3G version hasn?t been released anywhere apart from United States. It is the second Honeycomb powered tablet to be available in the country, as Acer has already started selling Iconia Tab A500.
Motorola did not give a fixed date, but we are expecting it to be available in the last week of this month. Company press release also stated the Android version present in the device as 3.0, which means you might have to update it to 3.1 OTA or via an Update app after the launch.
?Motorola XOOM redefines what the tablet experience should be. Designed from the ground up with the consumer in mind, it provides more ways to have fun, connect with friends and stay productive while on the go,? said Rajan Chawla, Mobile Devices business country head for Sales and Operations, India and South West Asia, Motorola Mobility.
